Your friend has been drinking a lot.
Your friend has a test tomorrow but is playing computer games.

Your friend is going hiking but it looks like it will rain.
Your friend wants to go fishing but you heard a typhoon warning.
Your friend stays up too late playing on the internet and is sleepy in class.

Example:
(2) My friend has a test tomorrow but is playing computer games.
Dear Sydney,
If I were in your position, I would stop playing video games. You could spend some time
studying for your test tomorrow instead of playing video games. I want you to get a good grade,

so you should study more. Why don’t you play your game for half an hour, and then study for an
hour? I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Katrina

(4) My friend is going hiking but it looks like it will rain.
Dear Jared,
I know you want to go hiking tomorrow but it looks like it will rain. Maybe you could
bring an umbrella or a rain poncho? But if I were you, I would not go hiking in the rain. Why
don’t you change your plans and just go another day? I think that would be the best idea.
I hope you stay dry,
Katrina
