ARGENTINE URBAN LEGENDS
“PEOPLE WHO THROW UNDER THE SUBWAY”.
People say there are lots of legends about subways in Argentina, and when a
person wants to suicide, chooses fast solutions like the subway or the railway,
but this one refers to the subway.
Two conductors from subway line E in Flores, Bs As, called Victor and Alfredo,
travelled in a unit, talking and laughing about something.
Suddenly, they saw when a young woman threw from the platform and fell on
the ways and they couldn’t stop, because of the speed.
When they passed over her, they felt how her bones were broken.
That night, when Victor went to bed, began to listen the bones’ cracking
under the bed, the same he had heard in that moment, and day, after day,
the noise was stronger and stronger.
One day, he decided to tell it to his partner Alfredo, who, of course, felt the
same.
After some years, both of them retired from the subways and, after a few
weeks, they didn’t listen the noise anymore.
It’s said that the alive people wants to die for something, just like sadness,
troubles, injustices, and more things. But, when they realise that, with the
suicide, they can’t get to God, they regret and their souls show they’re
suffering and want their innocent murderers know about this.
