Weather a storm= you survive a dangerous or difficult time.
A fair-weather friend= a person who will only be your friend when
things are going well for you.

problem. A small event is exaggerated out of proportion.
Save for a rainy day = Keep for bad times and be ready for the
future.
Chase rainbows = Try to get something which is too difficult.
