Excess baggage - luggage that weighs more than the airlines recommended limit.
Hand luggage - luggage that can be carried onboard the plane.
Conveyor belt - a moving belt that is used to transport luggage.
Departure lounge – a place where passengers wait to board their flights.
Duty free - tax free goods you can buy at the airport.
Passengers - a person who travels in a vehicle (planes, trains, cars, boat etc.)
Cabin crew - a team of men and woman who man the airplane.
CONVERSATION : SECURITY AREA:

The machine is beeping. Did you leave something in your luggage?
Security Check in: Excuse me Sir/Madam. Do you have any sharp objects in
your luggage?
/ Are you carrying any guns / knives/ explosives in your
luggage?
Traveller: No I’m not.
Security: Did you pack your bag yourself Sir / Madam?
Traveller: Yes I did, / No I didn’t, my husband /wife packed it for me.
Security: It appears that you have a sharp object in your luggage. You cannot
bring sharp objects onboard as they can be used as a weapon. I will have to
take it from you.
Can you open up your luggage and remove it please?
Traveller: Yes Sir / Madam.
Security: Thank you.
Traveller: (opens bag and finds a pair of scissors).
Oh I’m sorry I forgot to pack this is my checked-in luggage.
Security: I’m sorry but I’ll have to take this from you. You will have to put this
bag through the machine again and then walk through the metal detector.
