Period 21: Getting Started + Listen and Read
A. Aims :
- Get ss listen and read the dialogue.
- Help ss to understand the dialogue.
B. Objective: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to talk to their friends about
the things in the past.
C. Preparation: Pictures , posters, stereo, tape.
D. Procedure :

II. New lesson:
1. Getting started:
T hangs the pictures on the board and asks ss to observe and write the names of
the things that do not belong to the past (100 years ago)
-Ss work in pairs then compare with other pairs.
- Feedback.
-Answer key: The T.V, the mobile phone, modern clothing, the radio, the lighting
fixture, school uniform.

A. Aims : To use"used to"to speak about the life in the past.
To get ss to listen and understand the story.
B. Objective: By the end of the lesson , ss will be able to talk about the
differences between the life in present and the life in the past and ss will be able
understand the story and have a moral lesson through listening skill.
C. Preparation: Pictures, poster, stereo and tape.
D. Procedure :
I. Check- up :
+ Read and write new words.
+ Answer some questions .
+ Talk about the life in the past and the present.
+ Talk about the things you used to do in the past
II. Warm up:
Play a game "Happy Memories".

- T asks ss to answer some questions:
+ What is your childhood memory?

One day, as I was in the field and and my buffalo was grazing nearby, a tiger
came. It asked why the strong buffalo was my servant and why I was its master. I
told the tiger that I had something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I
told it left the wisdom at home that day. Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope
because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo. I went to get some straw that I said was
my wisdom and I burned the tiger. The tiger escaped, but today it still has black
stripes from the burns.
