Adverbs of manner tell us how
something is done.

Adverbs of degree tell us the degree or extent to
which something happens.

She plays tennis excellently

You entirely agreed with me

He dresses smartly

It was extremely hot

The adverb usually comes after the
direct object or after the verb.

Adjectives of degree are usually placed:

He spoke Spanish beautifully



Before the adjective or adverb they are
modifying


Before the main verb
