Indian policewomen slap dating couples
People in India are shocked because of reports about two policewomen attacking
a young woman on a date. The attack happened in the northern Indian town of
Meerat. The woman's crime was to cuddle with her boyfriend in a park. The
attack was part of a police campaign called “Operation Romeo.” The campaign
wanted to stamp out kissing in public. Women’s groups and students are
protesting in Meerat and Delhi. The protestors want an immediate end to attacks
on young lovers.

Breaking News:
Yesterday the bank at the university was robbed. Police have
caught three suspects. The robbery happened between 5:00 and
9:00PM. The suspects claim to have an alibi.
There are 2 groups: Police and Suspects.
The police : write and ask questions together to find out who committed the
crime.
The suspects : write an alibi and work together to protect each other.

Note:
Alibi- the reason a person could not have committed a crime, what he/she
was doing instead.
Suspect- someone the police think may have done a crime.

Police
Try to find holes in the suspects alibis. Ask detailed questions.

If the suspects say they were eating at a restaurant; ask them for the
restaurant’s name, what they ate and how long they ate, and what the
waiter looked like, etc..

Remember! The suspects must account for 4 hours. How long do you think
it will take for them to do each activity?

Suspects

Write a detailed alibi together. Do not leave any holes.

If you say that you were eating at a restaurant than the police will ask
about the restaurant’s name, how long you ate, what the waiter looked like,
what you ate..etc.

Remember! You must account for 4 hours. How long will you be doing each
activity?
