Possession
‘s and s’

To make possession after a singular noun the ‘s is used. Example: Helen’s hair is
red and shoulder-long. In case of possession after a plural the apostrophe is put
after the noun. Example: Girls’ toys are everywhere. Pay attention to the irregular
plural forms. If they end not on s the possession is formed alike with singular
form. Example: Children’s clothes are in the laundry.
