»Ship Ahoy!« cried the first mate,
Willy White, »Captain, it's another
pirate ship and she's heading our way
fast!«

Captain Dangerous Dan put down his
book and picked up his spy glass ( a
telescope to you and me) and looked
out to sea. He could see a Jolly Roger
flag ( a skull and bone flag to you and
me).

»It's that rogue, Captain Ignoramus«
said Dangerous Dan. »He's vicious and
he's obviously after our cargo of
jewels! We can't out sail him, so
prepare to fight!«

Now, you might wonder how Captain
Ignoramus got his name. Well, it was
because when he was a young lad (a
boy to you and me) he didn't bother
paying attention in the classroom. He
didn't listen to his teacher when she

was teaching history, maths,
geography (maybe he did listen to
that subject) , English (no way!!) and
so hence his name, Ignoramus,
meaning one who doesn't know much
about general knowledge. And that
meant he was also a bit of a bully
because he was jealous of Captain
Dangerous Dan!!

»Aye, Captain Ignoramus,« He be on
board, sure enough!« What is this?
A bad English lesson? Well, the huge
galleon ship , The Black Knight, came
up close to the Silver Moon and
ropes were slung across for
boarding. Captain Dangerous Dan
stood with his sword on his
deck ..«Prepare to attack, men.« he
said.

»Be that Dangerous Dan's ship?«
asked Captaain Ignoramus. »Be he
on board?« You see what I mean
about the bad English!! Can you
correct that?

»I be....I mean, I am here!« said
Captain Dangerous Dan. »You
won't get my treasure without a
fight, you one-legged rogue!«

»I be wanting him!«

»Where be Captain Dangerous
Dan?« cried Captain Ignoramus,
