A little rabbit lives in a small house in the wood. His name is Bunny. He usually sits in the grass
near his house
One day he sees the red Fox . Bunny asks her, “Where are you going , Mrs Fox?” I am going to
the town. I want to buy a new red tail.”
“Where you can buy tails, Mrs. Fox?”
“There is a Tail Shop in town. There are elephants’ tails, dogs’ tails foxes’ tails and many other
tails.”
“Oh, please, Mrs Fox, buy a tail for me too. Look at me, I have no tail!”
“All right! Do you want a rabbit’s tail?”
“Sure!”
Mrs Fox buys only one tail. Her tail is so beautiful! She forgets about Bunny. Mrs Fox runs
home to the wood. She wants to show her new tail to her friends. Bunny is waiting for Mrs Fox.
“I’m sorry”, says the Fox, “there are no tails for rabbits.”
Poor little Bunny. He is so sad. He doesn’t get a tail. A dog comes up to Bunny: “What’s the
matter? Why are you so sad? ”
“Oh,” says Bunny. “all animals have beautiful tails, but I have no tail.”
“Don’t cry! I can help you,” says the dog
He catches a cat, bites off a little piece of the cat’s tail and gives it to Bunny.
“Than you very much,” says Bunny. “Now I have a tail too, It’s very short tail, but it is a tail and
I like it very much!”
That is why rabbits have short tails.
