12 Have Tessa and her husband got divorced?

/>
I really admire my parents’ relationship. Do you know, they met when they were fourteen years
old and have been together since then. That’s about 42 years! My mum says she remembers the
day she fell in love with my dad. They met in their science class at school. She says they were
doing an experiment together, and it was love at first sight! How romantic! I don’t think that type
of thing happens nowadays.

Andy

I remember my first girlfriend really well. She was nineteen, and I was eighteen. We met at a
friend’s eighteenth birthday party. Her name was Claire, and she was lovely. I really thought I
was in love. She had gorgeous brown eyes and long dark hair. She had a great sense of humour and
always made me laugh. We split up after a year, because she went to university. Oh well. I still
think about her sometimes.

Tessa

I’m twenty-two now and I got married when I was twenty. Yes, I was young, it’s true. But I have
no regrets. I love my husband and know that he’s the right person for me. We met at work in 2001
and we’ve been together ever since. Yeah, I suppose it was love at first sight. I remember, we got
engaged after a month and then we got married the following summer. We still get on really well
together and are very happy.
