1. Read the text filling in the correct words:
High! I’m Andrew Watson and I am ten. I live in Swainby
with my parents and my little brother John.
I think clothes and fashion are always among the most
interesting topics. Women and girls are very interested in
them. Men and boys also love wearing nice modern clothes,
boots or shoes. So I think fashion problems can excite and
interest everybody.
As you know people wear different clothes for different
activities. The proverb says, “Everything is good in its
season” and we must choose the right clothes because what
is good at the sports ground isn’t good for a party or school.
At school I always wear my (1) _____. I change my school
clothes for (2) ______ when I come home. When I go in for
sports I wear my track suit and (3) ______. In the evening
after a shower I put on my (4) ______ and go to bed.
As you know the next proverb says, “There’s no bad
weather, there are only bad clothes”. And we choose different clothes for each
season. In winter when it is cold I put on warm clothes: (5) ______. When the
weather is cool I wear my (6) ______. In hot summer I prefer (7) _______.
When it is raining I usually wear (8) _______. But I must confess that my
Mum buys clothes for me. I love my clothes because they are fashionable and
very beautiful.
