1. A Flag Day is celebrated in the USA on June 14. It
commemorates the adoption of the flag in 1777. It isn’t an
official federal holiday. The largest Flag Day parade is held

annually in Troy, New York, which draws 50,000 spectators.
2. July 1 is the national day of Canada, celebrating the
anniversary of July 1, 1867, when three colonies united into a
single country called Canada. In 1982 it was called Canada Day.
The main celebrations are held in Ottawa the capital of Canada.
3. July 4 is known as Independence Day when the USA was
proclaimed as independent republic in 1776. It is marked by
parades, flying flags all over the country, festivals, carnivals,
picnics. Fireworks displays fill the sky in the evening
