YouTube Interactive Murder Mystery Transcripts:
/>These are the transcripts to the correct choices in this choose your own adventure murder
mystery video. You could do a lot with them for a listening class. First I would just let the
students have fun solving the murder mystery. Then you could get into detailed listening
activities going over the video a few more times. I don’t know who made this video. I just
ran across it when planning for a murder mystery themed camp.
START Here
Rachel: Hey, Jenny would…where is Jenny?!
Claire: Hmm. I don’t know. Probably went to the
bathroom or to get a bag of chips in the pantry.
Same time: Rachel: Of course.
Claire: Like she usually does.
Rachel: Yeah, I wonder where she went.
Rachel: What……..How did the lights turn off?
Follow the Blood
A: I I I I think we should follow it cause even if this does
lead to a monster and leads us to our death, it’s the most
likely place Jenny will be.
B: Well let’s go then.
A: It leads up here, the blood trail.
A: Noise is coming from in here, should we…..should we
do it or should we not?

Look in the pantry
A: Let’s go in….
Jenny: What?
A: Wait a second….how did you….how did you…wait why
are you….first of all, why are you eating bread with
ketchup?
Jenny: Why don’t you eat bread with ketchup?
B: Because it’s disgusting .
A: Wait, wait, so there’s no monster in this house. Claire,
there’s no monster!
B: Yea!!
A: Wait, wait a second. So the ketchup must explain the
blood and the crunching noises of you eating that but,
why….wait a second…..
Everyone: Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
Look for a basketball hoop
A: How is this gonna help us?
B: I don’t know?
A: Woah!
B: What’s that?
A: Is it……?
B: Looks like it….
A: Is it blood?
A: Oh my God! Oh my God, what if there is a monster?
Should we follow it? Or should we go back inside?
Turn on the Light
Rachel: I think we should turn on the light. It’s for our own
good.
Claire: ok
Rachel: Oh my God, there’s nothing in here. Must have
been just a short power outage or something.
Claire: probably
Rachel: You know, if there’s something in here, and Jinny’s
all alone out there….
Claire: We might have to do something.
Rachel: I think…..I don’t know what we should
do…..Should we go look for her or…stay in here and wait
for her to come back?
Go Look for Jenny
B: I thin we should look for Jenny.
A: I agree. Let’s go.
B: What’s this pile of stuff?
A: Hmmm, where should we look? That pile of pillow or,
or this closet?
A: Hmmm, what shall we do?
B: It’s a hard decision…..hard.
Look in the pile of pillows
A: I think we should look in the pillows and see.
A: Wait, what’s this? It’s old and crinkly. Go to a place
where you shoot a ball. It will help you deeply, above all.
A: Where do we shoot a ball?
B: A soccer field.
A: oh….a soccer net……or a basketball hoop? They both
shoot balls. Where should we look?
