Though and although – grammar exercise
Although and though are interchangeable. Though is more common in a less formal style.
Complete the following sentences using though or although.
An example is given below.
I tried my level best. I couldn’t win the first rank.
Although/though I tried my level best, I couldn’t win the first rank.

3. The policemen ran fast. They couldn’t catch the thief.

7. They are rich. They lead simple lives.
8. She was ill. She went to work.
9. Our team played well. They could not win the championship.
10. My grandmother can’t read or write. She is wiser than most people.
