I like traveling very much because it not only relaxes my mind, widens my
knowledge, but also brings me many new friends.First, I always feel happy when
traveling. Enjoying beautiful scenery everywhere, though natural or man-made, is
the most effective pill to heal my mental diseases. Besides, I can learn many
interesting things from traveling. The more we travel, the more we know
about

the

world around

us,

which

considerably

contributes

to

our

understandings. In addition, we can have interesting relationships when we travel
to somewhere. Sudden friendships coming with us in our trips brings us sweet
memories and warm feelings everywhere, making us not feel lonely or strange
anywhere we come and visit. Briefly speaking, traveling is important and essential
part of my life.

In my house, I like the living-room best because that is the place actively
influencing my family. First, the living-room is where my family get together every
evening to enjoy the cozy family atmosphere. At that moment, we often watch TV,
my parents give us advice, and we always chat with one another very merrily. Also,
the living-room is where we welcome visitors and guests. In my house, it is the ideal
place to receive everybody and they always feel happy and comfortable to be in
there. Moreover, the living-room is the best place to relax. It is the place that is best
equipped, so we always feel pleasant and peaceful there when we have any mental
problems. To sum up, the living room is the place that always brings us positive
things in our life.
 Talk about your house/flat.

I live in a house in Hanoi. The house is in a small and quiet street in Cau Giay district of
Hanoi. It takes about half an hour to go to the city center. The house was built 5 years
ago.It isn’t a big house and has two floors.
In my house there are 4 main rooms: a living room, a dining rooms, two bedrooms.
Besides, we have a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.
We have a little but pretty garden; my family often spend our free time there to grow
plant and vegetables. Next to the garden there is a small yard where my children often
play after school.
In my house, I like the living room is my favorite one. This room was painted light green,
so we feel very pleasant. In this room, there is a tea table, a sofa and a television. On the
wall there is a couple of oil paintings. After dinner, our family often spend time together
talking to each other or watching a favorite TV program. We often receive our guests in
this room. I love my house. Everyday when I come back home from work, I have a warm
feeling of being together with my whole family.
 House

my parents and my two brothers. My gandmother is a kind and beautiful old women.

month. My younger brother is a student. Now, he is studying at Ha Noi University of
Aricutule. He wants to study further with a scholarship

in a famous country after

Technology was created to improve our lives. Nothing is created to hinder the maker.
With technology, we can communicate quickly, across continents, all with just a single
click. This is done with the internet, a great aspect of technology. Technology has
definitely improved our lives, this is because of the various aspects of it: cars, internet,
phones. Will anyone doubt that these devices have improved our lives? it is how we use
technology. IF we use it daily, use the internet daily, use it until the point of addiction,
of course technology has helped to make us dependent, but the key factor that has made

us dependent is ourselves. We do not blame fire for being hot, much like we should not
blame technology for our own lack of discipline. Technology improves our lives, it can
also hinder it, but how we use technology is the key.

My most recent holiday is the trip to Hon Chong two months ago. That trip was
at weekends. On that Saturday morning, my friends and I departed very early by
motorbike. We rode non-stop from Long Xuyen to Rach Gia city where we stopped

9

for 30 minutes to relax. We spent approximately one hour to go around Rach
Gia city. At about 11.00 am, we began to head to Hon Chong. We arrived at Hon
Chong at about 3.30. On that afternoon, we rent a room in a hotel in Hon Chong to stay
overnight. From 4.30 pm to 5.30 on that same day, we went taking a sea bath. After
that, we went back to our hotel to take a bath with fresh water and have dinner. In the
evening, we ate seafood in a small restaurant by the sea and enjoyed the romantic
nightfall scenery for 2 hours. We went to bed at 10.30 pm in that night. When the
dawn of the next day came, we visited Hang Pagoda, Tu Island (which used to
be named Phu Tu Island but the Phu Island has collapsed recently due to a natural
incident). At 9.30 on Sunday morning, we left Hon Chong for home. We got back to
Long Xuyen at 4.00 pm via Vam Ray Ferry, and Tri Ton’s roads.
 Holiday
Firstly, I want to tell you that I really like holidays.
I’m going to talk about Tet holiday. It is the first holiday in the year. I really
like it because I don’t have to do any thing in my office on Tet holiday.
Therefore, I have more time for my family. On Tet holiday, people in Vietnam usually

visit their grand parents, relatives or friends. They greet each other and give the
best wishes. Adult s usually give lucky money to children. Also, all people are
happy to wear new clothes.
Especially, people make a lot of delicious and special dishes đĩa thức ăn. For
example, square cake , spring rolls, etc…
As for me, I usually spare time with my family on the first day of the new year. I often
go out with my friends the rest days.

How do you travel in your daily life?

3.

7.

Could you tell me about that traffic accident?

8.

What do you think about the traffic situation in our country?

9.

In your view, what should we do to solve traffic problems in our country?

10.

What should we do to avoid traffic accidents?
My favorite means of transportation is the bicycle because of its conveniences.
First, bicycling helps you save money. To buy a car or a motorbike, you must pay
plenty of money, but you spend much less money to buy a bicycle. Also, while you
must pay for gasoline to use vehicles having engines, a bicycle requires no
money for gasoline at all. On the other hand, bicycling is good for your health.
You sit still as riding a motorbike, but with a bicycle, you surely have chances to do
body exercises regularly, keeping you healthier and healthier. Last but not
least, bicycles contribute to protect environment. Smokes from engines pollute the air
day after day; bicycling produces no pollution, making our atmosphere fresh and clean.
The abovementioned explain why I like bicycling most.

 Transport (Giao thông vận tải)
I’m going to tell you about transport problem s in Vietnam.
Firtsly, Transport in VN is very terible. Especially , in big cities like Hanoi, there are
too many motorbikes on the road and people don’t follow the traffic law s. They cross
the r oad while the light s are red. They may be the reasons why there are too many
accidents in Vietnam.
Another problem of transport in Vietnam is road systems. They are too old and
narrow. They should be repaired. More new roads should be built.
In my opinion, now the most necessary solutions to the transport problems in
Vietnam are educating people, especially young people about traffic laws and

11

building more modernroad systems.

8.

What are advangtages of living in the countryside?

9.

What are disadvangtages of living in the countryside?

10.

What should we do to overcome disadvantages of life in the countryside?
According to me, I prefer living to a city because it brings me many advantages.
First, big cities bring me many good educational opportunities because educational
institutions always locate in urban areas. In contrast, the countryside gives me

no chance to attend higher education. Similarly, it is always easier to find a job in a
city than in the countryside because industries and services concentrate in urban areas
and attract all kinds of laborers. Meanwhile, labor markets in the countryside
develops slowly and thus it is very difficult to apply for a job there. Moreover, big
cities still give us conveniences of the modern life. On the contrary, rural areas
are slow, backward before the progress of human civilization. All in all, the
reasons

that

I have told you keeps me always loving to live in big cities.
