Much - Many - A lot of
These quantifiers are used to express the quantity of things or people. We
usually use much and manywith negative sentences and questions. In positive
sentences, we use a lot of or lots of.
Many is used with only countable nouns. It is used only with negative
sentences and questions:

He doesn't have many books.
•
Can you speak many languages?
•
We didn't see many children there.
•
Do you have many friends here?
•
I don't have many problems.
Much is used with only uncountable nouns. It is used only with negative
sentences and questions:

She didn't drink much milk today.
