The order of the words is f, d, c, a, e, b.
Cathy and Heathcliff
They come from the book ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Emily Brontë.
Their story takes place in Yorkshire in England. They meet when
Heathcliff, a gypsy, goes to live with the Earnshaw family as a
child. Cathy falls in love with him, and Heathcliff seems to love
her. Later in the story we learn that Heathcliff hates the

Earnshaws and wants revenge for the bad way they treated him.
In the end Cathy dies.

2

Beatrice and Benedick
They come from the play ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ by
Shakespeare. Their story takes place in Tuscany in Italy.
They meet when Claudio, a friend of Benedick, comes to visit
Hero, Beatrice’s cousin. Both enjoy talking a lot, say they will
never fall in love, and both seem to hate each other. Later in the
story their ideas change and they are nicer to each other. In the
end, helped by their friends, they fall in love with each other.

3

Pinkerton and Madame Butterfly
They come from the opera ‘Madame Butterfly’ by Puccini. Their
story takes place in Japan. They meet when Pinkerton, an
American, comes to Japan for work and falls in love with
Madame Butterfly. Later in the story Pinkerton leaves Madame
Butterfly in Japan with their son. Years later he returns and
Madame Butterfly discovers that he has a wife in America. In the
