Infinitive or –ing?
The following sentences may or may not have errors in relation to using
either the infinitive or -ing
Did you remember bringing your sunglasses?
2. I remember talking to my friend last year about going to London.
3. You have to remember to eat all of your vegetables.
4. He remembered taking photographs of his old school 5 years ago.
5. Did you remember to put your name down for the skiing classes?
6. I’ll never forgetting going to the Eiffel Tower.
7. Don’t forgetting to call the doctor. He will deal with the pain in your
back.
8. He will never forget lifting the World Cup. He was really looking
forward to it.
9. I hope you won’t forget to tell your mother before you set out on
your journey.
10. I regret to inform you that all the buses to Madrid have been
cancelled.
11. He regretted to eat that last piece of chocolate cake. Now he has an
upset stomach.
12. I regret not talking to my friend before he left for Spain, but he
wanted to turn his dreams into reality.
13. He is trying to continue with his goal of winning a gold medal. He
doesn’t want to give out.
14. Fran is trying learning French. He is looking backward to going to
France.
15. Sheila needs to try swim classes so that she can join in with the
games at the swimming pool.
16. The journey is very long, so I think we will stop eating some
sandwiches.
17. James stopped drink coca cola. He went off it.
18. Stop to pull my hair! You are hurting me.


19. Maria stopped to look at the new dress in the window of the shop.
