All of these long vowels use a fairy ‘e’ at the end of
the word.
The fairy ‘e’ at the end makes the vowel longer.
Eg. slim (vowel sound is short)
slime (when the ‘e’ is added the sound becomes
longer.
Let’s add a fairy ‘e’ to all of the words to see how they
