Man steals ATM with forklift

Orphey Wilson, 40, wore a ski
mask as he worked alone early
Sunday to unbolt an ATM* from
a bank in Texas, USA.
He then used a stolen forklift to load the machine into a
stolen U-Haul truck.
A witness called the police, who arrived seconds after
Wilson drove away.
He was arrested less than a mile from the bank.

Wilson has been in jail twice before for
theft and criminal mischief charges.

He now faces new charges for theft of over $200,000
and criminal mischief.
Each charge could result in jail time of between five and
9 years in prison.
ATM thefts are rare and there are usually no witnesses.
This is the first time the police have caught the thief
and got the ATM and the money back.
