Karate
Karate is a martial art game which means (empty
hand).It is also individual; a team combat sport and
competitive game. It was first practiced at Okinawa schools,
Japan, in 1905. Then, in 1922 it was introduced in Tokyo with
a demonstration by Gichin Funakoshi who is considered as
the father of modern karate.

In 1924, Keio University

established the first Karate club in Japan and then it spread all
over the world.
Karatika performs his/her competition on a mat (contest area)
of 08 meters square, with one (01) meter safety perimeter. Besides, the
uniform (karate-gi) must be white for both competitors.
A match consists of 3 rounds of two to there minutes for each one.
Whereas there are two types of matches: First, individual match, but the
second is team match that consists of five (05) athletes and two (02)
reserves .They should be divided into weight classes, lightweight, middle
weight and heavy weight.
Its ranking system adopted from Judo sport

Besides,

they are identified by belt colour which determines a level of the
contestant.
Karate-ka uses many techniques to win a match and defeat an
adversary person, among them hands, fists, elbows as well as kicking by
feet.
