Read the following text attentively:
GALILEO GALILEI
Galileo was a famous Italian. He
was born in Pisa in1564. He studied
at Pisa University from 1581 to
1585. When he was 25, he started
a job at Pisa University and in 1592
he moved to the University of
Padua.
Galileo married Marina Gamba in
1599 and they had three children:
Virginia, who was born in 1600,
Livia born in 1601 and Vicenzio,
who was born in 1606. Galileo did
not invent the telescope but in
1609 he designed and made na
important new telescope which
helped people to look at the stars.
People still use Galileo’s design of
telescope today. Galileo died in
1642.
