Lesson 1: Getting Started

A look inside
Class description: 30 sixth-grade students (Ss), 20 girls and 10 boys, Trung
Vuong Lower Secondary School.

I, AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- know some basic vocabulary about types of houses
- use preposition of place
- read for specific information about rooms and houses
- understand the conversation

- Give the prepositions’ meanings
which Ss don’t know (activity 2)

+ “no? let’s write F for sentence 1”
+ “so where is he?”
+ “He’s between the bed and the
bookshelf, right?
+ “then correct sentence 1 into “The
dog is between the bookshelf and
the bed””
+ “are you clear how to do this
activity?”
+ “you, stand up please”
+ “is the school bag under the
table?”
+ “yes? Should I write F for
sentence two?”
+ explain more if the answer is
wrong, let Ss do the activity if they
