one year.
* Fixed assets: assets retained for long – term use, such as land,
buildings, machinery, and equipment.
* Intangible assets: assets having no physical existence but having
value because of the rights they confer on the owner.
LIABILITIES: Debts or obligations a company owes to other individuals or organizations
( nợ ).
Liabilities may be current or long term:
* Current liabilities: Liabilities that are payable within a year.
* Long- term liabilities: Debts that fall due more than a year from the balance- sheet date.
OWNERS’ EQUITY (assets minus liabilities): Portion of the company’s assets that belongs to
the owners after obligations to all creditors have been met (vốn).
