GET TO= ARRIVE

What time do you get to school?


Arrive at: station, airport, my house...

They arrived at the airport at 6 o’clock in
the morning.


Arrive in: London, Santiago, Argentona,...

They arrived in Buenos Aires at 6 o’clock
in the morning.


Reach : get to

They reached their destination at dawn.


leave a place

They left my house yesterday afternoon.



leave for a place: go to

They left for Sweden three hours ago.


Across: go from one side to the other

They are walking across the bridge


through: go from one side to the other by
passing through the inner part of
something.

They are driving carefully through the
tunnel


As far as/up to: indicate the end of a path.

Go as far as the station and park there.


Towards/ toward (Am): indicates direction.

Who is that person walking towards me?


Past:


It’s half past five.

You can walk past the museum and on the
right is the library .


Up/ down: indicate upwards and downwards

We go up and down the hill by car.
