Hypoechoic Rim: Siegel CL và cs (1997) renal
cell carcinoma (RCC) và angiomyolipoma (AML) là những u
hyperechoic
RCC có hypoechoic rim và intratumoral cyst,

Hypoechoic Rim, extracapsular = Perirenal
lucency “kidney sweat” : Yassa NA và cs
(1999) 47 ca / 330 ca bệnh lý thận có extracapsular
hypoechoic rim, thường cả 2 bên.
“kidney sweat” = triệu chứng siêu âm mới, phụ vào chẩn đoán
bệnh lý thận.

Kết luận tạm :
Dấu hypoechoic rim hay anechoic halo
thường dùng
nhưng chưa được giải thích đầy đủ
và còn nhiều ý kiến khác nhau.

Ý nghĩa ác tính ở tổn thương gan và thận
nhưng lại là lành

tính ở tuyến giáp.
