CẤU TRÚC TIẾNG ANH THƯỜNG GẶP KHI VIẾT LẠI CÂU
1. Sth belong to sb: đồ vật thuộc sở hữu của ai
Ex: This shirt belongs to me.
2. So sánh hơn trong tiếng Anh.
- Với tính từ ngắn: S + to be + adj-er + than.....
Ex: She is taller than her sister.
- Với tính từ dài từ 2 âm tiết trở lên: S + to be + more + adj + than.....
Ex: This bike is more expensive than that one.
3. To be interested in V-ing: thích thú, quan tâm làm điều gì
Ex: I’m interested in collecting stamp.
4. To advise sb to do sth: khuyên ai nên làm gì
Ex: My mother advised me to play tennis every morning.
5. S + to be + too + adj (for sb) + to V: quá đến nỗi không thể làm gì
Ex: The coffee is too hot for me to drink.
S + to be + too + enough (for sb) + to V: đủ để có thể làm gì
Ex: You are not old enough to be a student.
6. To be in favour of sb/sth: ủng hộ ai, cái gì đó
Ex: She is in favour of his opinion.
7. To have sth pp: nhờ ai làm gì
Ex: He had his hair cut yesterday.
8. To look forward to V-ing: mong đợi điều gì
Ex: I look forward to hearing from her.
9. To enjoy V-ing: thích làm gì
Ex: We enjoy drinking together every weekend.
10.To be able to do sth: có thể làm gì
Ex: She is able to speak five languages.
11. S + would like + to do sth: thích làm gì
= to be fond of + V-ing
= to like + V-ing

12. To take part in sth: tham gia cái gì
Ex: I want to take part in a dancing club every morning.
13.Although + clause: mặc dù.....nhưng.....
= In spite of/Despite + Gerund/Noun
Ex: Although he is intelligent, he doesn’t do well at school.
= Dispite his intelligence, he doesn’t do well at school.
14.No sooner .......... than: ngay khi
Ex: No sooner had I come to my class than the lesson began.


15.Câu cảm thán: S + be + adj: câu cảm thán bày tỏ sự ngạc nhiên
= What + a/an + adj + noun!
= How + adj + S + be!
Ex: She is a very graceful girl.
= What a graceful girl!
= How graceful the girl is!
16.S + prefer/would prefer/would rather sth (to sth): thích cái gì hơn
= S + like sth better than sth
- S + prefer to V/V-ing: thích làm gì hơn
= S + would rather + V
- S + would prefer + sb + to + V: thích ai làm gì
= S + would rather + sb + past
Ex: We prefer to stay at home.
We would rather stay at home tonight.
He would prefer you to tell him a story.
He’s rather you told him a story.
17.It is time..................since + past: đã bao lâu không làm gì
Ex: I haven’t seen her for 3 weeks.
18.It’s the first time + S + have + PP: lần đầu tiên làm gì
Ex: I haven’t seen that man here before.

= It’s the first time I have seen that man here.
19.To be responsible for sb/sth/doing sth: chịu trách nhiệm về ai/việc gì
Ex: I was responsible for being late yesterday.
20.It + be + adj + that + clause
Ex: It’s certain that our team will win.
21. S + advise + O + to do sth: khuyên ai nên làm gì
Ex: John advised Tom not to lend them any more money.
22. S + had better + do sth: ai đó nên làm gì
= S + ought to/should + do sth
Ex: Tom’d better not lend them nany more money.
23. So sánh nhất
- Với các tính từ ngắn: S + to be + the + adj “est”
Ex: Jane is the tallest girl in her class.
- Với các tính từ có từ 2 âm tiết trở lên: S + to be + the most + adj
Ex: Racheal is the most beautiful student in her class.
24.To be glad + that + clause: vui mừng, phấn khởi với điều gì đó


= to be glad + to do sth
Ex: I’m very glad to see you soon.
His family is glad that he has tried his best to pass the exams.
25. To ask/ request/ want sb to do sth: yêu cầu, muốn ai làm gì
Ex: He asked his students to hand their books to him when they had
finished.
26. To pride oneself on doing sth: tự hào với bản thân về việc gì
Ex: I pride myself on having a good knowledge.
27.To take a notice of sth = to pay attention to sth: chú ý, lưu ý vào việc gì
Ex: Jimmy always takes any notice of his girlfriend’s behaviour.
28.To be able to + V = can V: có thể làm gì
Ex: She was able to eat three big cakes.

29. To persuade sb to do sth: thuyết phục ai làm gì
= to allow sb to do sth: cho phép ai làm gì
= had better (not) + V-inf: nên làm gì
Ex: You’d better get up early in the morning.
30.To manage + to-inf: làm việc gì thành công
= to succeed in V-ing
Ex: Sally finally managed to get a job.
31.S + trust in sb/sth: tin tưởng, tin cậy vào ai/cái gì
Ex: You can trust in me.
32.To talk over sth (with sb): thảo luận kĩ lưỡng vấn đề gì với ai
Ex: We’d better talk the whole over again before we make a decision.
33.It + to be + adj + of + O + to V-inf
Ex: It’s very kind of you to help me.
34. How long does/did it take................?: mất bao lâu để làm gì
 It takes/took + sb + ...... + to do sth
Ex: How long does it take the girls to shop in the supermarket
yesterday?
 It took them one hour to shop in the supermarket yesterday.
35. To call off = to cancel sth: hủy bỏ
Ex: The match was called off because of the rain.
36. To cross sb’s mind = to come into sb’s mind: nhớ ra, chợt nảy ra trong
đầu
Ex: It never crossed my mind that she might lose (I was sure that she would
win).
37.To show off: gây ấn tượng với người khác bằng cách khoe khoang, phô
trương của cải, tài năng.....của mình.
Ex: He’s just showing off because that girl he likes is here.


38.To take (sth) in: nhớ hoặc hiểu cái gì đã nghe hay được đọc

S + V + not only ..............+ but also...............: không những.............mà
còn....
S + V + both ...........and...............: vừa .........vừa............
