and the solutions.

in their city/country.
-Have ss write into their small board then raise
on, T calls 1 student go to the board and
write(as much as possible). Another can add.
-Have ss match the environmental problems to
the pictures.

-Have ss work in groups to think of the reasons
why ocean is polluted.( explain new words)
-Raw sewage(n)(explain): nước thải từ ống cống.
-Pump(n)(explain): máy bơm, ống bơm
-Spill(v)/spilt/spilt:làm tràn, làm đổ.
-Deliberate(adj)(explain):có tính toán, chủ tâm.
-T reads new words to ss repeat
Have ss listen to the tape twice and complete the
notes about the reasons why ocean is polluted.
-T gives the best answers.
3.Pre-speaking:
Explain some new words:
-Prevent(v)(translation):ngăn chặn, phòng chống
-Reduce(v)(example:last time, this shirt cost
50.000dongs.Now it cost 30.000dongs. What
happens?): giảm, làm giảm.

-Have ss use the expressions and the ideas cues
given to persuade their partner to do somethings to

-Have ss use the ideas in section a to answer the
questionnaire.(P49).
*Activity3:
-Have ss work in groups to discuss the best way to
protect the environment.(They can use the ideas
and the expressions for persuading in section a and
the answer to the questionnaire b)
-Have ss speak together.
-Call ss to speak in front of the class (each groups)
-T listens then check their pronunciation.

-Have ss take turns to write their ideas on the
