PART 2 (4 MINS)
PART 3 (5 MINS)

Do you visit your grandparents often?
To be honest, I’m too busy with my study to have chances to visit my
grandparents as often as I want. The only time for us to have a get-together is
long holidays like Tet holiday or middle-autumn festival.

Do you prefer a large family to a small one? If no, why not?

Well, this is an interesting question…Uhm. In my opinion, having many sisters, brothers
around is so great because we can play and grow up together, having bittersweet
memories, but on the other hand, this may entail a ton of concerns for parents, especially
financial problems cuz they have to tighten their belts.

Do you prefer living alone or with your family? If no, why not?

When I was younger, I used to prefer to live alone cuz I think I could pick up essential life
skills, having a sense of privacy as well as independence, but since I came to university, I
have always been so lonely. I miss my parents, my sisters so bad. I realize that after all, living
with my family is the happiest thing.

Have you ever played any sports?

Yes, I’m a big fan of sports and I play volleyball on a regular basis with my

college friends. I find it a great way to increase flexibility and reduce stress
after hard-working hours.

Do you get along well with your teammates?

Actually, we sometimes have quarrels because, you know, there are always different dissents
when we work in groups but we also try to walk in each other’s shoes and think from the other
side, cuz, we all know that, after all, we are a team and we are fighting for the same goal.

Part 2: Solution Discussion
INTRODUCTION
BODY 1
BODY 2
CONCLUSION

INTRODUCTION
There are a number of sites for tourists when they travel to Vietnam: the city center, the
countryside and the mountainous area. If my friend came to Vietnam, I would
recommend him to go to the countryside for the following reasons.

BODY 1
Firstly, when one travels to the countryside, he will have great chance to experience himself with local traditional
lifestyles which may not be found in the city center. I mean, in big cities, everything has become modern because of the
globalization process and obviously, people may not keep old customs meanwhile in the countryside, he could take part in
folk games held at nights or try delicious local foods. I strongly believe that all of them are unforgettable experiences.
Secondly, my friend could enjoy the fresh air and see incredible natural beauty, spectacular landscapes in the

countryside, getting out of the hustle and bustle of life. Rural travelling is definitely something my friend should try, at
least once.

BODY 2

Come to think about the mountainous area, there are, in fact, many tourist attractions in Vietnam
like in Quang Binh or Da Nang but I don’t think it’s a good choice in summer when the
temperature is extremely hot in my country. Both I and friend would be very exhausted after a
long walk. What’s more, mountains can be very difficult to cross.

CONCLUSION

In short, if I were in the situation, I would opt to suggest the
countryside owing to its unique features.

Part 3: Topic Development

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, people are getting busier and don’t have much time for cooking, so junk
food is an ideal choice for them to fill their stomach during a day. However, nobody
could deny that this kind of food may cause potential problems in many aspects.

BODY 2: TO HUMAN HEALTH + TRADITIONAL FOOD

When it comes to fast food’s effects on human health, extra calories in processed dishes lead to epidemic

obesity, therefore reducing life expectancy. Besides, fast foods contain preservatives which could be indeed,
poisoning to human body. Another problem is that junk food is gradually replacing traditional cuisine which
is one of essential components of our culture.

BODY 2: TO ENVIRONMENT

Regard to environment impacts, not only does the regular consumption of fast foods diminish health, but most
fast food contains plenty of harmful chemical additives, such as flavoring agents, and pesticides which are
also bad for the environment. They also have a negative effect on water quality, as pathogens, hormones,
drugs, and the fertilizers they use tend to seep into surrounding groundwater, potentially causing outbreaks of
waterborne illness, fish kills, and other hazards.

BODY 3 : YOUR OWN OPINIONS
And finally, in my opinion, when people decide to eat pre-packaged food to
save time, they are likely to lose chance to have a get-together with their
friends and family, which may lead to stresses and depression. That’s all I want
to say about the topic.

What are possible ways to make people eat less fast food?
Well, this is a very difficult question. Sometimes, I find myself struggling with this unhealthy habit… Uhm, I
think it’s a good idea for the government to impose heavy tax upon junk food and propagandize harmful
impacts of this kind of food. Besides, people should spend time cooking and eating with their family as much as
possible instead of eating out at fast food restaurants. If you are busy on weekdays, you can make it in
weekends.

How can companies make fast food less harmful?

Another difficult question? As far as I know, for the past few decades, some fast food
companies like KFC have made an effort to add vegetables to its menu and introduce more
healthy foods and this practice is appreciated widely. Besides, I think fast
food industries should indeed put more research into making their products less harmful.

Do you think the disadvantages of fast food outweigh its advantages?

Actually, modern people do not have time to prepare food at home so it helps them save time
and you can also save money because fast food tends to be cheaper than the alternatives but from
my point of view, I certainly believe that the benefits of energy-dense food are outweighed by
its health-related drawbacks. We can save everything except our lives.
