SAMPLE
There is a lot of controversy/argument about using animals for human needs. Animal
rights activists are trying to stop all modern and traditional activities, which involve
killing animals or cause their suffering. Traditionalists are trying to convince the
community that using living creatures for men's needs is natural and cannot be avoided in
everyday life.
On the one hand, activists, who defend animal rights, are telling the world that people
should not use animals in any way. Moreover, they say that animals should have exactly

same rights axs humans do. The reason is that people and animals are both living
creatures and there shouldn't be any difference in treating them. So called extreme
vegans/vegetarians are refusing/not to eat any food of animal origin/made from animal,
even milk or honey. They are trying to convince people to do the same using as an
argument that killing animals and keeping them in captivity/imprisonment cause/lead to
their suffering and not civilized.
On the other hand/however, traditionalists/some people disagree with the statement that
human should stop killing animals or using them to fulfill their needs. From the very
beginning of human civilization there is a tradition and vital/important/essential need to
use animals as a food and their parts in traditional crafts. Without proteins and vitamins
of animal origin human body wouldn't receive all nutrients it needs. Moreover, testing
some medicals on animals already helped to fight many diseases people suffered from.
I think, people have the moral right to use animals to their benefit, to some extent. I am
sure, we should not cause them suffer and die for our fun. Although, using animals for
food is natural for humans as a predators, but as civilized predators we should make sure
to use only humane ways of killing.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to make arrangements for the stay during the weekend at
your hotel and to get more information on the places of interest and different activities
nearby.
I will be arriving with my parents and wife to celebrate my parentswedding
anniversary on the 4th of July which will be on Saturday morning, and leaving on the 7th
of July afternoon. I am looking to book double-rooms with the attached bathroom for
more privacy and convenience. I would love to have at least one bedroom with the
balcony or seaside view for my parents. I would also appreciate if you could provide me
with the list of activities that we can take part in during our stay for more fun and
adventure. I prefer the locations to be nearby the hotel as we are not familiar with the
place. Furthermore, I would also like to know if there are any historical sites
or market nearby where we can explore more about the place's history and local culture.
You could send me the detailed information through email or fax no later than the 4th of
July with the total cost of stay during the weekend.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Dear Mr Brown and Mrs Brown ,
I am writing to you to bring to your attention a problem that i have been having

with your dog at night.
As you may already be aware of, your dog started making small detours at night
around the neighborhood, digging holes in the gardens and often making loud noises. I
was awoken by your dog’s barks several times lately, and I had even consult a doctor and
had been prescribed some sleeping pills.
This wouldn’t have been as big of a problem for me if I wasn’t in the middle of my
exams, but since I am, it is crucial for me to take good rest and sleep during the right
hours; I have morning exams to wake up to.
I will therefore be grateful if you could have your dog looked after by another
member of your family away from this neighborhood, even if only until my exams are
over, which will be in about three weeks time.
Thank you for taking time to read this letter, I hope to hear back from you with
good news.
Yours sincerely,
