Vd: The water was too hot for me to drink.
Have/ get + sth + done (past participle): (nhờ ai hoặc thuê ai làm gì…)
VD: I had my hair cut yesterday.
S + V + so + adj/ adv + that + S + V: (quá… đến nỗi mà…) VD: It is such
hot water that i can’t drink it.

Would rather (‘d rather) + V (infinitive) + than + V (infinitive: (thích làm gì
hơn làm gì) VD: He would rather play games than read books
To prevent/stop + s.o/sth + From + V-ing: (ngăn cản ai/ cái gì… làm gì..)
VD: She prevented us from parking our car here.
S + V + adj/ adv + enough + (for s.o) + to do sth : (Đủ… cho ai đó làm
gì…) VD: He is old enough to get married.
It + V + such + (a/an) + N(s) + that + S + V: (quá… đến nỗi mà…) It is
such interesting books that I cannot ignore them at all.
It + takes/took+ s.o + amount of time + to do sth: (làm gì… mất bao
nhiêu thời gian… các cấu trúc tiếng anh thông dụng) VD: It takes me 5
minutes to get to school.

To prefer + Noun/ V-ing + to + N/ V-ing. (Thích cái gì/ làm gì hơn cái gì/
làm gì) VD:My mother prefer dog to cat
by chance = by accident (adv): tình cờ VD: I met him in Rome by chance
last two week.
can’t stand/ help/ bear/ resist + V-ing: Không chịu nổi/không nhịn được
làm gì…VD: He can’t stand laughing at his little dog.
To be amazed at = to be surprised at + N/V-ing: ngạc nhiên về…VD: I was
amazed at his big beautiful villa.
To be angry at + N/V-ing: tức giận vềe.g. His mother was very angry at her

bad marks.
to be/get tired of + N/V-ing: mệt mỏi về…VD: I am tired of my housework
everyday.
to be keen on/ to be fond of + N/V-ing : thích làm gì đó…VD: My younger
sister is fond of playing with her dolls.
to be interested in + N/V-ing: quan tâm đến…e.g. Miss Ngan is interested
in reading book all day.

always wastes time playing computer games each day.
To spend + amount of time/ money + V-ing: dành bao nhiêu thời gian làm
gì.VD: I spend 2 hours reading books a day.
To spend + amount of time/ money + on + sth: dành thời gian vào việc

To be interested in + N / V_ing ( Thích cái gì / làm cái gì )VD:They are
interested in reading books on history.
To be bored with ( Chán làm cái gì ) VD: We are bored with doing the
same things everyday.( Chúng tôi chán ngày nào cũng làm những công việc
lặp đi lặp lại ) – học tất cả các cấu trúc câu trong tiếng anh.
