1/ So sánh bằng
as +adjective+as
Ex : Your result is as good as mine
2) So sánh kém :
less+adjective+than
Ex: It is less cold than it eas yesterday
3) So sánh hơn :
a/ Đối với tính từ ngắn (một âm tiết ) và tính từ tận cùng là Y:
adjective + er+than
Mr Pike is taller than his father .
*Note :phải biến Y thành I trước khi thêm er
b/ Đối với tính từ dài (nhiều hơn một âm tiết ):
More + Adjective + than
This room is more beautiful than the other .
*Chú ý :Than chỉ xuất hiện khi trong câu có thành tố so sánh xuất
hiện.
4) So sánh nhất :
a/ Đối với tính từ ngắn (một âm tiết ) và tính từ tận cùng là Y:
The +Adjective+est
My grandfahter is the oldest man in the village .
b/ Đối với tính từ dài (nhiều hơn một âm tiết ):
The most+adjective
Ex: Mary is the most careful student.
