Dear…..,
I was happy to get your letter yesterday. I hope you enjoyed your
holidays in Cat Ba as much as I enjoyed my holiday in Lang Co beach.
Lang Co beach about 40 kilometres from Hue city. It is a beautiful
beach and my friend lives here. He told me that he would do to make
my stay there a very interesting one. He said that he would first make a
raft to use it in the sea. Then he would buy fishing net to catch some
fish in the shallow waters near the coast. When my girl friend and I
heard all this, we were very delighted because it was for these reasons
that we had decided to visit him. We then
walked up to the beach which is near his house.
While we were there, sometime in the evening, the sea looked
extremely beautiful. I saw the islands and hills in the distance, the birds
in the air, and a few boys and girls playing on the beach. I also saw
some fishermen coming out of the water with their catch. All this was
indeed very interesting to look at.
On the next day, my friends and I collected some tree trunks from the
forest nearby. As my friend's house is close to the sea, we decided to
make the raft on the beach itself. It took us almost the whole morning
to make the raft. We then had our lunch with a lot of sea foods. I love
sea foods. It is a delicious foods. In the evening we put the ran on the
sea. The water was cool and refreshing and I loved splashing it on my
friends. Then we sat on raft and began to row it by using the oars that
we had made ourselves. We felt very happy indeed and continued to
row it.
On the next day, we went out to catch some crabs and fish. We used the
net that we had bought and caught a lot of fish. Then, we had our lunch
and went out again on the ran. We continued to row it as far as we
could. It was really a pleasure to be away from the shore. The sea was
calm and we could row with ease. My friend told me many interesting

things about Lang Co. We then returned to the shore.
In this way, I spent my holidays happily at Lang Co, a place I shall
never forget. I think you ought to go to LangCo on next summer.
Love,

Though my country is small, yet there are many places of interest
spread throughout the country .If you have been there, I am sure that
you want to go to Vietnam once more.Vietnam is known not only as a
developing country, as a country that has just been out of a war and is
still poor but it is also known as a beautiful, peaceful and friendly
country.
Every year, there are a million of turns of foreigners arriving in
Vietnam. They come to Vietnam not just for their holidays but they
also want to join the Vietnamese culture and the Vietnamese lifestyle.
The culture of Vietnam is the culture of Asia but we have our own
culture and it is different from other. Vietnamese are friendly and kind,
the foreigners can do everything in my country and we are pleased to
help them. Wherever you go, you can see the traditional clothes “ Ao
dai”, from Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi capital or Tan Son
Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh city to in the streets in Vietnam. We are
proud of it and there are many foreigners wear “Ao Dai” in Vietnam
and other country. It is the symbol of Vietnam culture and especially is
symbol of the Vietnamese women.
About delicacy in Vietnam, although there are many kinds of food
from other countries, “Pho”, “Bun bo”, “Nem”, Cha” are still the
exciting and attractive food for foreigners and they are very cheap, of
course, they contain the Vietnamese style deeply.
Beside clothes and food, everyone comes to know Vietnam because of

its beauty, “ Ha Long Bay” , beautiful beaches, landscapes which the
foreigner will never forget. Ha Noi, the capital of Vietnam, is famous
for ancient streets and traditional culture. Ho Chi Minh city is
famous for modern culture, busy life and shopping. If you need a silent
place, you should arrive in Ha Noi and if you like noisy and activities,
please go to Ho Chi Minh. Everyone is usually glad to welcome you. I
am proud to be a Vietnamese.I wish everybody in the world could
know about my beautiful country more and more.So i'm glad when you
visited and read the lines. Are you ready travel to VietNam with me ?
P/s: In summer, its very hot so you should bring some T-shirt, shorts

I was happy to get your letter yesterday. It was generous of you to lend
us the money. I hope you going to visit my house soon.
My house has four rooms with a well-furnished kitchen and modern
bathroom facilities. The living rooms are comfortable. The furniture
has been chosen with great care. The walls have been painted with soft
colors to match the curtains, the materials of which had been bought
from the best textile manufacturing company. Each room is fitted with
a radio so that one can enjoy programs from the bed. The drawing
room is elegantly furnished with sofas, chairs and a central table. The
walls are lined with built-in cupboards, a library to house well-chosen
volumes by master novelists. There is a niche for the television and the
room can be used for viewing programs. All the rooms are airy and airconditioned.
The kitchen is beautifully done up. It is fitted with electric grills and
things can be stacked neatly away in specially designed cabinets. It is
provided with modern gadgets for grinding, pulverizing or cutting. In
front of the house there is an artificial pool with a fountain spray. One

or two fish tanks are kept in the big porch to add the beauty of the
place.
I have a couple of chandeliers in the drawing room showing rainbow
colored lights whenever light falls on them. I could specially mention
the marble Buddha I got from Sian and a bronze Nataraja from India.
There are a few selected pictures by masters in gilded frames.
Come here soon, I can’t wait to show you my house.

Dear,……
I was sorry to hear that you have diabetes. That’s a bad new. But I can give you
some useful advice.
First, you must know what health problems if you have diabetes. If you have
diabetes, you have too much glucose in your blood. Glucose is a kind of sugar
that your body uses for energy. But if it builds up in your blood it can damage
your blood vessels. This can cause damage to your feet, kidneys, eyes and
other parts of your body. Diabetes also means you are more likely to have a
heart attack, a stroke or circulation problems.
There are lots of things you can do to lower your chance of getting there health
problems like:
- Eating a healthy diet: A heathy diet can also help keep your blood gluce and
cholesterol under control.. You should aim to eat regular, well-balanced meals.
You need to include lots of starchy foods such as bread and pasta, fruits and
vegetables. And you need to eat fewer sweet foods, fats and proteins. Your
doctor can refer you to a dietitian who can help you make a food plan that suits
you..
- Stopping smoking: smoking increases your chances of having a heart attack
or a stroke. It also makes circulation problems worse.
- Taking exercise. It will help you: keep your weight down, keep your blood
pressure and cholesterol under control and lower your chances of having a

heart attscj or stroke.
- Regular check-ups Taking medecines: It’s important to take all your
medicines as prescribed by your doctor. This gives you the best chance of
staying healthy
Doing there things has many benefits for your health. They help to keep the
levels of glucose in your blood as close to normal as possible. They also help
keep your blood pressure and your cholesterol at healthy levels.
P/s: Don’t worry about your disease to much. Good luck

Dear,……
I was delighted to get your letter last week. It’s a good new. When you
conceive, some things you should do during pregnancy
You Should Get Regular Medical Exams :One of the easiest and best
ways to avoid problems and complications during pregnancy is to get
regular medical exams from your doctor or midwife
You Should Get the RDA (Reccomended Daily Allowance) for Folic
Acid :By getting the proper amount of Folic Acid you significantly
reduce your baby's risk for spinal bifida. The current recommendation
is 0.4 mg of folic acid daily.
You Should Check Your Immunity to German Measles (Rubella)
:German Measles (Rubella), if caught during pregnancy, can lead to
miscarriages and fetal deformities. The best way to avoid this
possibility is to be vaccinated for Rubella prior to getting pregnant.

You Should Take Prenatal Vitamins :Both you and your baby need
plenty of vitamins during pregnancy, and by taking special prenatal
vitamins you guarantee that you are getting everything you need.
You Should Eat Plenty of Protein :The RDA of protein for pregnant
women is 75 grams but 100 grams is often recommended. Adequate
protein is essential for the development of the baby (especially the
brain) and may help protect against preeclampsia during pregnancy.
You Should Eat Well and Get Plenty of Exercise: You should eat plenty
of protein. Adequate protein is essential for the development of the
baby (especially the brain) and may help protect against preeclampsia
during pregnancy Your diet needs to include plenty of vitamins,
minerals, fiber and so on, just as it normally should. You also need to
exercise and watch your weight as your normally would. You should be
sure to get enough fat in your diet.Fat and cholesteral, which you
normally try to avoid, are important for absorbing the fat soluable
vitamins (A,D,E, and K) and for strechable skin. Fat is also necessary
for the developing baby brain. That does not
mean you want to be over-consuming it, but you need to make sure you
are getting
enough.
You should avoid stress, not smoke or be around people who do, not
drink alcohol. Take care when you use every drug
I’ m looking forword to hear ring from you. Write to me soon.

My mother and I took the lift from the second level of the underground
car-park to get to the ground floor of the shopping complex. The
moment we stepped out of the lift we were greeted by a blast of cool
air and the blare of music from a music shop nearby. The car-park
was dark and gloomy. The ground floor was bright and lively. We were

at the foyer of the huge shopping complex. There were many people
there. I could see a goldsmith's shop, two music shops, a pharmacy,
two book stalls, a video shop, an optician's shop and a large supermarket. Two very old guards sat in front of the goldsmith's shop. They
were nodding off. I wondered if they could cope if robbers were to
come to the shop. It did not look like they could.
A "cheap sale" of clothes was going on in the middle of the foyer. The
crowd there was so thick that it was impossible to get near the clothes.
We walked past the mad crowd and into the supermarket.
There were rows and rows of goods in the supermarket. We picked out
the things we wanted and put them in a trolley. When we had finished I
pushed the trolley to the check-out counter where my mother paid for
the things we took. Fortunately there were few people in the
supermarket. The cheap sale had attracted the crowd. So it did not take
us long to buy what we came for.
We came out of the supermarket and passed the mad crowd. I noticed
that one of the old guards at the goldsmith's was actually snoring!
Anyhow we proceeded to the lift and left the shopping complex.

Birthday party
David and Lan are my neighbor. They have a nice daughte Fiona. She
turned twelve recently and her parents held a birthday party for her. My
family were one of those invited. The party began at about three in the
afternoon. There were about twenty of us children
gathered in Fiona's house. they were all dressed in our best clothes.
Everyone, especially Fiona, wore a happy smile.
They gave their presents to Fiona and she happily opened them. It must
really be exciting to receive all those presents. My son gave a music
disc of Michel Jackson to Fiona because he know she love King pop.

My hobby is reading. I read story books, magazines, newspapers and
any kind of material that I find interesting.
This hobby got started when I was a little boy. I had always wanted my
parents to read fairy tales and other stories to me. Soon they got fed up
and tired of having to read to me continually. So as soon as I could, I
learned to read. I started with simple ABC books. Soon
I could read simple fairy tales and other stories. Now I read just about
anything that is available.
Reading enables me to learn about so many things that I would
otherwise not know. I learned about how people lived in bygone days
of magic and mystery. I learned about the wonders of the world, space
travel, human achievements, gigantic whales, tiny viruses and other
fascinating things of our world.
The wonderful thing about reading is that I do not have to learn things
the hard way. For example, I do not have to catch a disease to know
that it can kill me. I know the danger so I can avoid it. Also I do not
have to go deep into the jungle to learn about the tiger. I can read all
about it in a book.
Books provide the reader with so much information and facts. They
have certainly helped me in my daily life. I am better equipped to cope
with living. Otherwise I would go about ignorantly learning things the
hard way.
So I continue to read. Besides being more informed about the world, I
also spend my time profitably. It is indeed a good hobby.

After that Fiona's mother served us soft drinks and delicious tidbits.
Children then played some games like "Musical Chairs" and "Treasure
Hunt". The winners were given prizes. I and David watched TV and
chatted. My wife help Lan made the birthday cake.

At about four-thirty Fiona's mother brought out the birthday cake. It
was beautifully decorated with pink and white icing. Twelve colorful
candles sat in the middle of the cake. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to
Fiona after which she blew out the candles and cut the cake. We
clapped out hands eagerly.
We helped ourselves to slices of the delicious cake. Then children
continued our games. Finally at about six in the evening the party came
to an end. We were all tired but happy.
The parents of the other children came to collect them. My wife helped
Lan clean up the mess we made.

During my last school holidays. I spent a few days at my cousin's
house at Morib, a well- known sea resort. I shall never forget that visit.
On the day I arrived at Morib, my cousin told me that he would do to

make a raft to use it in the sea. Then he would buy fishing net to catch

make the raft on the beach itself. It took us almost the whole morning
to make the raft. We then had our lunch and went to Banting, the
nearest town, to buy fishing net. After that we returned to my cousin's
house.
In the evening we put the ran on the sea. The water was still high, but
the raft floated quite well. My cousin and I sat on it and began to row it
by using the oars that we had made ourselves. We felt very happy
indeed and continued to row it. We remained on it for a long
time, but as it was already getting dark we did not go far. We returned
to the shore and tied the raft to a tree.
On the next day, we went out to catch some crabs and fish. We used the
net that we had bought and caught a lot of fish. Then, we had our lunch
and went out again on the ran. We continued to row it as far as we
could. It was really a pleasure to be away from the shore.
The sea was calm and we could row with ease. My cousin told me
many interesting things about Morib. We then returned to the shore.
In this way, I spent my holidays happily at Morib, a place I shall never
forget.

School, hobbies
Dear,……
I was very happy to get your letter yesterday. Now I’m a freshman in
Ha Noi Medecin University. I’m eager to begin the news subjects of
study like: anatomy, physiology and so on. In my school has a football

field so I’m very happy, You know that I like play football. Ah now I
begin play the guitar. Though I am not very good at it and am still
learning, I can play some tunes. I spend quite a lot of time playing the
guitar so much so I get scolded sometimes by my mother. I suppose I
do tend to spend a bit too much time with it. Anyhow, playing the
guitar is very enjoyable (most of girls like the boy who can play
guitar).
Next month, I going to travel to England. I hope I can visit the
Otraford Stadium, I’m a fan of Manchester United Club. I’m
looking forward to seeing you in England.
Love,….
