A. SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES : A superlative adjective compares three or more nouns.

 Longest và most enjoyable là dạng so sánh hơn nhất (tuyệt đối).

II. Cấu trúc
1. Tính từ ngắn.
Form : S + tobe + the + adj-est……….
Examples:

Yesterday was the hottest day of the year.
Hôm qua là ngày nóng nhất trong năm.

Nếu tính từ kết thúc với 1 nguyên âm + 1 phụ âm thì gấp đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “est”.
Examples: big-biggest, fat-fattest, hot-hottest.
Nếu tính từ kết thúc là “e” thì chỉ thêm “st” vào:
Examples: nice – nicest, rare – rarest.

a. Tính từ có 2 âm tiết tận cùng là “y” : đổi –y thành –iest
happy – the happiest

crazy – the craziest

lucky – the luckiest

easy – the easiest

b. Một số tính từ có 2 âm tiết nhưng có tận cùng là “y, le, ow, er” khi sử dụng ở so sánh hơn nhất nó áp
dụng cấu trúc so sánh hơn nhất của tính từ ngắn.

C. MODAL VERB : MUST and MUSTN’T
Động từ khuyết thiếu là 1 loại động từ đặc biệt chỉ đi kèm và thực hiện chức năng bổ trợ cho động từ
chính, không bao giờ tự đứng một mình như một động từ chính trong câu.
1. Must: phải

Form: S + must + VBARE.
- Diễn đạt sự cần thiết, bắt buộc ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai
- Đưa ra lời khuyên hoặc suy luận mang tính chắc chắn, yêu cầu được nhấn mạnh.
