A b stra ct. Photonuclear reactions formed via the irradiation of bremsstrahlung
beam with end-point energy of 65 MeV from LINAC (Pohang, Korea) are
presented.
1. E x p e r im e n t
W ith h igh e n erg y beam from accelerator, m a n y rea ctio n s a p p e a r; th is is a very
good chance for p rodu ce rad io activ e isotopes. In th is p a p e r, som e p h otonu clear
reactions form ed via th e ir r a d ia tio n of b r e m s s tr a h lu n g b eam from LINAC (PohangKorea) are p re s e n te d .
1.1. I r r a d ia t io n
The 65 MeV b r e m s s tr a h lu n g w ere produced by b o m b a rd in g electron beam
(accelerated up to 65 MeV) in to T u n g s te n ta r g e t (W). T h is b r e m s s tr a h lu n g beam
was used to i r r a d i a t e a T i 0 2 pow der . The T i 0 2 pow der sa m p le w as con tain ed in a
cylinder w ith h = 5 m m , d = 10 mm. A sch em atic d ia g ra m of th e e x p e rim e n ta l set-up
is showed in Fig. 1.

The T 1 O 2 po w der w a s ir r a d ia te d for 2.0 h w ith 65 MeV b r e m s s tr a h lu n g beam
and pulse electro n b e a m w a s 40 mA. T he sam p le w a s fixed a t one position.

1.2 M easurem ent
- The decay tim e of irra d ia te d sam ple was from 2 to 60 h o u rs
- M easu rin g tim e v aried from 60 seconds up to 10 hours
- G am m a sp ectra w ere analysed by using gam m a vision p ro g ram
The irra d ia te d sam ple was m ea rsu red for 30 tim es, the following photopeaks
in keV were found in the photonuclear reactions for T i 0 2 (Table 1)

A fter a n a ly s in g all the m earsu red spectra and com paring the analysised
d a ta w ith the d a ta of rad io isotopes, the following reactions were found:
