PPT3000 – M-RULE Profile Generation – data form
The PPT3000 – M-Rule shelf-life testing routines are designed to provide material utilization and
predicted shelf-life performance data on bottles at the point of production. The PPT3000 M-Rule shelf-life
prediction software utilizes pressure and expansion data captured by the PPT3000 in conjunction with the
unique attributes of a given bottle. This data is then analyzed by an embedded version of the M-Rule®
Container Performance Model to provide predicted shelf life and material utilization of bottles tested.
Since shelf-life qualities are dependent on a number of critical bottle-specific parameters, it is extremely
important that accurate data be provided to create each unique bottle shelf-life profile for the PPT3000.
One profile is required for each unique bottle design to be tested.
In order to assist you in providing the proper data, we have prepared the following form. This form must
be completed and submitted for each unique bottle tested on the PPT3000. In addition to the data
requested below, please also supply a design drawing of the bottle if available. Data submitted on this
form will be used to create a unique shelf-life profile for the specified bottle. All information supplied
will be treated with strict confidentiality.

materials are employed on this bottle

Important Note: The PPT-M-Rule shelf-life model
assumes that coatings, and or barrier materials are
applied properly and in place at the specified barrier
levels. Test results will reflect maximum shelf life based on
barrier levels provided in this document.
