PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project Vicem Management and Transaction Building at land plot 10E6_ Cau Giay new

urban area_Cau giay district, Ha noi city, conducted by employer Vietnam Cement Industry
Corporatin. The construction has 31 over ground floors and with the height of 139.6m, and total area
around 8450m2, construction area 2800m2 and total floor area 81060m2.
The main purpose of quality control schedule is providing personnel procedures, processing,
installation, maintainance, which shall be executed in the contract. To insure progress rate, material
quality to meet employer’s requirements, all factories and facilities, equipment are used and
maintained by professional and qualified engineers, technician. Regarding to new updated
equipment, machine, we have support from overseas specialists, manufarer’s technical staffs to
operate smoothly and efficienctly
We shall carry out period quality examination to insure that the installation of aluminium system
follows design, execution is conducted effectively. Besides, correct system installation shall support
the whole Phi kha’s system which helps employer have a exactly understanding about certain and
unavoidable in the area.

EXECUTION SECTION OF CONSTRUCTION

The work shall be divided into 5 sections:
1. Doors, windowns, glass aluminium walls
2. Stone walls

IMPORTANT NOTES AND DEFINITIONS

Quality control staff have examined the design drawign, specification of project and checked all
detail notes. They have already known the list of section needed for inspectation

Quality control ( QC )
All procedures and solutions shall be conducted carefully and efficiently to obtain and maintain

quality of each work section, so regular inspectation for those procedures, solutions, specifications is
needed to make employer satisfied with the work quality.
The main tasks are seeking, forecasting to eliminate causes which can lead to negative effect on
work quality, so quality criteria must be strictly applied at the start until completion time.

Quality assurance (QA)
Quality assurance is preventation from quality control problems by means. The efforts of quality

control is determined and directed by planned goals based on strick requirements for system
execution
This is related to procedure evaluation and checking ability to gain high quality outcome,
including documents approving that quality is good.

DETAILED PROCESS OF QUALITY CONTROL

Input material control

I.1 At processing factory
All materials which are used for glass wall and cladding system shall be recorded into receiving
minutes. Transportation of materials such as aluminium, glue, glass, mattress, structure glue, sticky
plasstic, machine and other equipment to fatory shall be inspected. Inspectation shall be conducted
anytime for all materials, and reports shall be made based on requests. Quality control engineers
shall record all materials which have different specification from requirements, design drawing of
construction, also report and classify into 2 categories: accepted and unaccepted materials
I.2 At the Site
Department of execution installation of glass wall shall transport aluminium glass frame, other
needed materials to site, the requirement and acceptance of input materials must be carried out
before stranporting those materials to sit
When materials are collected on site, all shall be inspected before installation. Regarding to
damaged sections, they shall be elimilated and refunded to factory for repairing and altering. Some
minor faults in allowance scope shall be accepted.

Input material inspectation
8.1 Glass
- Glass shall be produced by factory located in Europe, installation work shall be carried out at
Phi Kha’s factory. All glass shall be stored in wood box with protected glue layer, transported
gently.
- During transportation, glass shall be marked axit to differentiate Heat Strenghthen from
Tempereed glass
- All glasses shall be inspected as following steps:

 Scratches or faults which can be easily seen
 Chips or other faults
 Assure that all angles are well covered ( vacuum glass)
 Signal to differentiate glass catergories
 Glass thickness
 Glass size and area
 Distortion of surface due to processing
 The position for marking should be bottom corner to read easily
 Glass egde
8.2 Aluminium
Aluminium materials such as horizontal, vertical frame, other sections when transported to site,
they shall be separated with a piece of wood to prevent from being scratches, damages, also cover by
plastic to protect during transportation.
The aluminium surface shall be painted with electrostatic layer PVDF technique or Powder
coasting. All those aluminium bars shall be inspected as:
 Straight
 Chip
 Surface scratches
 All surfaces are painted
 Faults on surfaces can be seen and not accepted
 Horizontal and vertical bars or scractches
 Inspect the thickness of paint
8.3 Sticking Glue
There are 3 types of glue shall be used: DOW CORNING 791 Silicone Weatherproofing, DOW
CORNING 795 Structural Silicone Buiding và DOW CORNING 983 Structural Silicone Buiding.
Those shall be inspected specification, stored in cold room with temperature under 25 oC. The using
date shall be shown on package, sent glue shall be in usable time limitation at least 4months since

expire date
All Silicone shall be checked and recorded as following steps:
 Manufacturing date is not over due expire date

 Besides storing all glue into cool room, they shall be store according to manufacturers
 Determination of completing QC daily and other documents as proofs
8.4 Mattress and block of mattress
Those shall be inspected as the following steps:
 Kind of required mental and materials
 Ex-work certificate.
8.5 Complex steel
Complex steel shall be inspected as the following steps:
 Complete, paint or zinc steep as requireemnt
 Processing
 Ex- work certificate and necessary transportation
8.6 Embed
This shall be inspected as the following steps:
 Processing
 Completed painting (or steep into hot zinc)
 Ex- work certificate and necessary transportation
 Detail inspectation

Check the surface scratches and those must be in

Identification

Glass shall be marked during transportation to
differentiate from Heat Strengthened và Fully Tempered
Glass. Each shall have signal for control and identifying

Maintainance

Glass should be stored and prevented from breaking,
damaging due to humidity, direct sunlight and other
causes.

Glass shall not be damaged or dirty. The following defaults shall be accepted: foam, wave,
scratch, color change which are invisible with a distance of 3m or accepted by supervior

with mattress which has thickness of 1cm to
protect surface.

Materials are not accepted

Method of management and maintainance for unaccepted materials as following:
- In case of discovering any difference among supplied materials, packages, They shall be
marked with an extra signals
- After completing attachment, NCR shall be finished and sent to factory director for quality
inspectation
- Leader of quality control department shall arrange meeting with design department,
production department and material control department to revise this difference and decide on:
repairing, keeping, eliminating, or refunding to producers.
- If materials are eliminated during processing, they shall be put under control of supervising
department and suppose as store of eliminated materials
- Quality control department shall check daily eliminated materials, and those materials shall
be sealed by supervisor, and no one shall be entitled to move those materials excluding
supervising staff
- NCR shall release reasonable explaination for eliminated materials. After completing NCR,
quality control department shall check quality and modify report, signing and issuing according
to approved lists
- Buyer shall agree to report to product control and quality control department. If materials are
refunded to producer, product control department shall prepare material lists of amendment.

Execition
Contractor shall process aluminium frame and alu cladding in accordance with specification and

design drawing and using only qualified personnel, modern equipment, machine. All must be
hemogenous and inspected by supervisor. All alu package shall be carefully protected to avoid any
damages during transportation to site

 General note:

The main purposes are:
 Provide solution for installation, pumping glue, glass system
 Importance of pumping glue at the connecting corners
 Support performers to get used to work reasonable, scientific

Aluminium frame
IV.1.1 Processing
All aluminium shall be processed according to drawings. Cutting part shall be marked reasonalbe.
Before cutting, drilling, aluminium shall be covered by stick glue to avoid scratches. Basement table
shall be covered by rubber
IV.1.2 Checking allowable error
a) In order to submit an allowable error which is not referred in drawings, it shall use only
one contractor for execution and installation.
b) Meter control, insure accuracy, not over 100cm of length. Meter shall have accuracy of
±0.5mm otherwise shall not be accepted
c) The following errors shall be allowable:

IV.1.3 Aluminium frame installation
- Processing and classifying:
 Half of vertical frame shall be Female
 Half of aluminium frame shall be male
 Half of under horizontal part

 Half of over horizontal part
 Glasses
- Arrange the above section in correct order. Cleaning surface of horizontal, vertical frame
and use glue at completed point before assembling verticle
- Starting at verticle frame, connect horizontal parts to it via screw. Before driving screws,
glue shall be put into holes to prevent water and air absorb. Assembling vertical and
horizontal bar by using screw. After completion of vertical and horizontal bar assembling,
use glue pump into crew.
IV.1.4 Checking of frame installation
Door frame shall be put on specialized supporter or assemble table. All part which contain
glue shall be cleaned clearly by soft and dry fabric and check for visible defects
- Insure that amended steel frame shall be used when requested
- Check error for each part
- Check installation, insure accuracy
- Insure that all assistant bars shall be covered by glue
- Insure that all gaskets shall be put separately
- Insure that horizontal frame shall be installed with vertical one in correct direction
- Insure that glue shall be put only at top and bottom of bars
- Checking for scratch and damage on frames
- Record order of sections
IV.2 Glass installation
All aluminium shall comply with following criteria before being installed:
IV.2.1 Preparation for installation of glass and gaskets
- The size of frame shall be check before installation and shall change if needed. Checking
the cratch between vertical and horizontal bar, corners.
- Prepare glass as requirements for each type and clean surface by isopropyl (50%
wine/50% water).
IV.2.2 Cleaning and installing glasses
- Glass shall be cleaned and checked regularly and any defect on surface shall be repaired

when discorved. Glass shall be cleaned with washing water which is suggested by
manufacturers. Washing detergent shall be use for required parts with soft fabric. Water
shall be poured into fabric, do not steep faric into detergent bottle
- Cleaning up glass as requirement and ignore water absorb spongy.

- After putting glass into aluminium frame, glue shall be pumped into all crack between
glass and frame, make sure that glue at corrner is still wet until the last adjustment
IV.2.3 Glass inspectation
After installation, the following section shall be checked:
- Make sure that glass surface is clear and no dirty
- Used glass has correct size, thickness
- Make sure that glass edge is not damaged and acceptatble
- Supporting bar shall be put correct location, and two supporting bar on one glass panel
- Make sure that error is in allowable scope
- Remove all marks on surface
IV.2.4 Work related to structural glue
a) Surface preparation method
- Cleaning clearly outer between alu and glass
- Using detegant to increase sticky level
- Check location in which glue cannotbe pumped into for solution
b) Pumping structural glue
- Cleaning clearly all with alcohol, using 2 pieces of clear, soft fabric
- Cementing detergent shall be used before pumping glue
- Using Silicone no later than 1 hour since cleaning. Structural cementing detergent

shall be stored in a bag and then use manual or automatic glue gun, this process shall
be carried in well-light area to facilitate checking
- Make sure to meet producer’s requirement about cementing detergent such as
thickness, width
- When glue pumping work has finished, check again outer of alu frame and intersects.
- Dry cleaning for all equipment, machines when all installation work has been done.
- All cementing detergent shall be removed immediately after completing processing
work, and QC shall check all glass aluminium frame about its deficiency before
moving those to store
- Objects used to clean cementing detergent must be approved by producer

Supervision and inspectation
IV.4 Absorption checking
Water shall be poured into assembled alu glass frame which is put horizontal and outer faces
to up direction. After 1h30’, observe inter of glass and if any water can come inside, glass shall
be repaired.
IV.5 Inspetation method for air penetration
Using a small piece of paper (or paper money) or rubber object (such as mobile card) which
shall be put between glass frame and assistant bar. If piece of paper is detached, it may have
problems in affiliation and need to repair.

All installed glass alu frame shall be supervised by QC. QA/QC board shall use drawing
instruction to inspect glass aluminium frame for each period of production. After inspectation,
QC shall issue a quality certificate sticked on glass module to approve that the module is
accepted as a completed product

Quality assurance and Quality control
All products of factory shall be undergone QA/QC process. QA/QC shall be carried out from
the begining to the end of process and transported to site. Each module shall be attached with a
quality certificate QA/QC
After all section of process has been done, they shall be transported to site for installation.

Installation shall be carried out carefully to avoid damage and check QC before installation to
insure that all module are accepted before installation. After installation, QC need to check for
any posible scratchs or defects

Inspectation and acceptance of section
All sections of installation shall be accepted for each period before carrying out the next
section to avoid defects.
 Regarding to installed glass aluminium, it shall be check based on the below criteria:
- Verticality of vertical aluminium bar, height of horizontal alu bar.

- Flatness of cladding panel
 Regarding to installed glass, accuracy shall meet the below criteria:
- Error of glas panel size: +/- 2.0 mm
- Error of glass panel diagonal : +/- 2.0 mm
- Check glass the last time for defects, scratches, damages
 Regarding to sticky layer of glass panel, need to check following standards:
- Checking for foam, loophole
- Checking for final section of hygiene on glass surface
- After completion, contractor shall carry out domestic acceptance
- In case domestic acceptance is approved, contractor shall send request for acceptance to
consultant
