A motion picture is a series of photographs which is shown very quickly on a screen. This
gives us the feeling of movement. A modern movie has 24 photographs per second. Today,
motion pictures are the most popular kind of entertainment. People all over the world enjoy
films everyday at the cinema or in the comfort on their living room on TV or on video. Many
motion pictures are more than entertainment, because they teach us different things. First of all,
they introduce us to new ideas. Secondly. They help us learn about other cultures and other
parts of the world. Finally, films about the past teach us history.

In Saudi Arabia, parents have separate responsibilities for raising their children. The father,
for example, has the duty to provide complete financial support for his family. He therefore
works at a job to earn money, and he buys the clothing and food for his family. He also has the
authority to make all decisions concerning his children : what school they should attend, what
friends they should have, and whom they should marry. The mother's most important
responsibility for her children is to stay at home and take care of them. She cares for everyday
needs, like cleaning the house and preparing meals for them. And she provides love and
friendship for them. She also teaches her children moral virtues such as friendship, generosity
and courtesy. With the authority of their father and love of their mother, the children grow to
maturity.
