2. What is a typical vietnamese family like?
For many Vietnamese the family is the most important thing.
Respect for parents and ancestors is a key virtue in Vietnam. The family is viewed as a
unit, the oldest male in the family is the head of the family and the most important family
member. His oldest son is the second leader of the family. They have the ultimate
responsibility and involving others in the decision making. Children take the family name
of their father.
From a very young age the parents educate the children on "filial piety," a key part of
Vietnamese culture which requires that children give parents and elders respect, love, and
care. Sometimes, related families live together in a big house and help each other.
Each family has its own rules and values that members are supposed to conform with.
The younger generation shows respect for the older generation and vice versa, the old
generation tolerates the young. Discipline is viewed as a parental duty, and spanking is

common once children are past early childhood.
In Vietnamese culture, family is a very important thing and peaceful

There are four people in my family: My parents, my younger sister and me. Everyone

always my best friend.

taught me the basic values of life and she put a great effort to teach me to distinguish the
right from wrong.
She was a hard-working woman who has devoted her entire life to her family. She is
caring, tender, she has got a big heart and she possesses love for everyone. I admire her
for everything she has done for me and my family. I have learned the importance and
necessity of a close family from her.

4. My favorite job
My favorite job is software tester. This is also my current job. Having spent most of my
career working as a software tester, I used to clarify myself about what I loved about my
job and why did I want to continue. Here are some reasons:
First, I like the novelty and discovery. This work gives me more knowledge in various

fields such as finance, banking, delivery, games, etc.
Second, I am a meticulous, perfectionist. I always want the bests. So checking to bring
the best software to the customer makes me feel interesting and happy.
The third, I always want to find out what final form the application would take. As a
tester I could look into all the functionalities and features are being delivered. It showed
me the broader perspective of the project and also made me well acquainted with the core
knowledge of the application.
For the reasons mentioned above, being a software tester can help me to live a
meaningful life. Working with passion, I love my job very much.

6. Why do people prefer to live in the country side?
People prefer the country life to the city one. There are many reasons.
First of all, the atmosphere in the country is very quiet, which brings them peace and
comfort.
Second, living in the country helps them avoid the noise, smoke and dust from vehicles
such as motorbikes, cars and trucks. Therefore, it is good for my health.
Third, people in the country are very friendly and hospitable. If you live in urban areas,
you hardly know any of your neighbors. This makes us bored and lonely.
The other positive side is, the costs of living in the city are much higher than those in the
country. The goods in the city are also more expensive.
Last but not least, is the safety. In the rural area the crime rate is much lower. There are
not a lot of housebreaks and the possibility of burglary is also lower. In the countryside
people usually and keep eyes on neighboring estates. They always react when something
strange is happening. Country life is very peaceful and silent. You will enjoy the feeling
of peace.
To sum it up, there are lots of advantages of living in the country. And that is why people
want to live and work in the country.
Disadvantages of living in the city
Firstly, a problem about which everyone is worrying is environment. The increase of

factories based on industrialization and modernization has severely polluted environment.
Smoke from factories' chimneys not only pollutes the air but also makes people get many
serious cancers. Sewage is bumped into rivers without being purged, which threatens
underwater ecosystems.
The second drawback of living in the city is society's vices such as drug addiction. Young
people. especially the students, are easily spoiled by bad habits. If people use up all the
money, they can't control themselves and even become robbers or murders.
Moreover, a problem that many people living in the city have is heartlessness. With some

people, it's not worth being worried and it has no effect on our life, people are too busy to
care for any others. But if more and more people become heartless, the society will be
worse, no one cares another one, they live boring lives, every purposes became
meaningless, without love, sympathy and many other good things

7. Do cell phone always bring good advantages and good manners
According to my opinion, the cell phone bring good advantages and good manners, but
not always. People often focus on the benefits of the mobile phones and are not aware of
its disadvantages.
Phones have a lot of advantages and disadvantages, which bring about good manners
depending on how we use them.
No one can deny that mobile phones are fast and convenient means of communication,
you can keep contact with everyone in the world wherever they are. However, it is also
the reason why people tend to have their mobile phones on all the time, which can cause
a disturbance when they ring. I hate people who use their cell phone in the car, even if
they are hands - free. whatever you see someone driving badly, nine times out of ten they
are on the phone. And i hate it when people talk very loudly on their cell phone in a
public place
In addition, the use of mobile phones sometimes reduces the efficiency in your study and
in your work. We all know that mobile phones are also means of entertainment with
many functions to help you chat with friends, listen to music, send messages,... Those
always attract people, especially the ones who are teenagers so that they cannot
concentrate on their lessons in the class.
In conclusion, I think people should learn how to use the mobile phones properly before
buying them, which is the mobile culture. Mobile phones are not bad themselves, it just

depends on the way we use them.

------------8. What do people need to be successful?
According me, Success is about getting all that you wanted to have.
We know if we want to achieve something we have to do something, and maybe the
actions you take aren't getting you the results you want, so here are three things you
should start doing for yourself today because they will give the success you want
tomorrow.
1. Start being more focused
If you want to succeed, you have to stop being distracted by everything around you and
be more focused in what you want to achieve, and get it done.
2. Start fighting for what you want
To be able to achieve something significant you have to be fearless in pursuit of what you
want to achieve. and even if nobody believes in what you are doing, you have to do what
it takes to make it happen you have to be determined you have to have tenacity.
3. Start engaging with people you admire
Having people you admire in your life can be a great resource for learning and
motivation. Reaching out to successful people you admire and respect is a wise career

strategy. Start hanging out with people who are reliable, make the relationships around
you, people you can admire.
When you go through all of the information above you will acquire the mentality of a
successful person and this will help you reach success.
------------9. What qualities do you expect from a good friend?
Friendships are precious. Have you ever found it difficult to make friends? Do you even
know what true friendship is, and which qualities you should look for when picking your
friends?
- Trust: A good friend is someone you can trust totally with your deepest and darkest
secrets, knowing full well that they would not share it with anyone else. A good friend
will not break your trust and gossip behind your back.
- Honesty: A good friend is someone who is not a "YES person." They will not be afraid

to criticize you or point out your flaws.
- Accepting: A good friend accepts you for what you are. A good friend does not try to
change you, except for suggesting things you can improve upon and pointing out where
you are going wrong, constructively.
- Sharing: sharing is indeed one of the qualities your best friends should have. You should
be able to share each and everything with each other. Because after all, sharing is caring.

To sum up, trust, honesty, sharing and accepting are the most important features for an
good friend. I hope to all friends to have a great friendship because the life is meaningless
without a good friend.
----------10. How do you often keep in touch with other people?
It can be remarkably hard to stay in touch with all of your friends, even people who mean
a great deal to you. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to bridge any distance, and keep
in touch with people.
1.

Using Technology to Keep in Touch

- Use your phone . Make the call or messenger.
- Chat using online apps. Apps such as Zalo, Skype or Facebook Messenger can allow
you to remain in contact throughout the day. Sending funny pictures, quick updates about
your day, or just letting them know what’s going on can help you remain close.
Video calls are even better, as they allow you to keep in touch visually as well, and
simply provide a greater feeling of togetherness, no matter your actual distance.
2.

Using Social Media to Keep in Touch

Facebook, Zalo is a great way to keep in touch with your family and friends that live far

away. With the status updates, photos, and profile information, it can keep you up to date
on the happenings of all of your close ones.

3.

Making Plans to meet Your Friends
