English around the world
English is the first language of many people in countries outside the United Kingdom.

III. Read the passage and answer the questions: (2ps)
There is a question as of why students from famous universities are so smart. The
answer lies in their study habits, which should be developed by all students from early ages
with help from parents and schools.
First, a habit of frequent reading is what children should have. It is understandable if
a child does not like reading in his early life. What parents and teachers should do is to
explain the importance of daily reading to children. Simply, parents can encourage their
children to bring books in their handbags to read in their leisure time. Teachers can share
their book picks with their students.
Second, writing daily is one of the most essential skills for any students, so they
should be provided with opportunities to express themselves in writing and not scared of
being marked by their teachers. Thanks to daily writing, their writing ability will be
improved.
Third, parents should encourage their children to question their teachers. It is widely
known that questioning is a way to gain knowledge. Additionally, it is also learned that

parents and teachers should let students find answers to the questions first because no one
knows where their search may lead them.
Questions:

2. Is it acceptable that children do not read books?
3. What can parents do to their children so that they can read at break time?
4. What helps students improve their writing skills?

HƯỚNG DẪN CHẤM PHẦN THI NÓI
- Học sinh nói đúng chủ đề và đảm bảo phù hợp nội dung:
+ Topic 1: Nói được lý do học Tiếng Anh để làm gì, và dẫn chứng cho lý do đó
+ Topic 2: Nói được những lợi ích của inetrnet
+ Topic 3: Nói được tên chương trình mình thích và giải thích về nó.
+ Topic 4: Nói được những việc cụ thể mình làm để giữ cho trường sạch sẽ.

+ Topic 5: Nói được tên của bạn, ngoại hình, tính cách, …
nói mạch lạc, lưu loát, phát âm tương đối bảo đảm thì đạt điểm tối đa (2 điểm).
- Tùy theo từng lỗi của học sinh mà giáo viên có thể cho điểm theo thang điểm từ
0,25; 0,5; 1; đến 2 điểm.
- Giáo viên không hỏi thêm trong quá trình học sinh trình bày.
