• Nuclear power is the use of nuclear reactions that release
energy to generate heat.
• Obninsk – name of the first nuclear station in Russia.

• 30 countries - 449 nuclear reactors.
• 11 percent of the world's electricity.
• 116 new reactor are planned worldwide.
