The speaking Test lasts about 12 minutes and includes 3 parts.
Part 1: Social Interaction: “3 minutes”
Social interaction requires you to talk about familiar topics such as hometown, family,
work, study, leisure time, future plans and so on. The test-taker answers 6 questions
on familiar topics:
Topic 1: 3 questions
Topic 2: 3 questions
You are required to communicate effectively and fluently about topics by responding
to related to questions as much as possible rather than simply giving one-or two –
word answers.
Part 2: Solution Discussion: 4’ (1’ of preparation)
A situation with three choices will be given, the test-taker talks about these options
and selects the best choice. You will have 1 minute to prepare what you are going to
say. Then you have to make a talk about your solution for 1 to 2 minutes.
You are required to make a coherent talk about your solution. You need to create a
talk with a beginning, development, and an ending.
Part 3: Topic Development: 5’ (1’ of preparation)
You are given a topic card with a mind map of 3 ideas. You will have 1 minute to
prepare for a detailed presentation of the ideas. You are required to make a coherent
talk with a beginning, development, and an ending.
The examiner then engages you in a further discussion about questions related to the
topic.

10. You are going to try new sport this summer. Which of the following sport are

How to talk situation discussion:

Conclusion

There are three means of transport/ choices to go from DN to HN such
as going by train, travelling by plane and going by coach. I think, going
by plane is the best choice for some reasons.
Firstly, traveling by plane is faster. For example, it takes one and a half
an hour to travel by plane while it takes about 16 hours to go by train or
two days to go by coach.
Secondly, going by plane is more comfortable because the plane is
cleaner and less crowded than a train or a coach.
Finally, traveling by plane is safer. There are fewer air accidents than
train or coach accidents.
To sum up, there are some means of transport to go to Hanoi from Da
Nang. For the reasons above, in my opinion, travelling by plane is the
best choice.
