Uhm bạn fải lùi thì : hiện tại--> quá khứ
hiện tại tiếp diễn-->quá khứ tiếp diễn
hiện tại hoàn thành--> quá khứ hoàn thành
hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn--> quá khứ hoàn thành tiếp diễn
quá khứ--> quá khứ hoàn thành

khi lời nói trực tiếp chia ở qkđ, trong câu sử dụng "in + năm trong qk" --> ko lùi thì của động từ, ko biến đổi
thời gian.

=> Jack says that he is hungry.
13. "I have been here since she worked as a doctor", he said.
=> He said that he have had been there since she had worked worked as a doctor.
nếu mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian ở qkđ --> khi chuyển sang gián tiếp phải giữ nguyên.

14. "If you hadn't come here lastnight, they wouldn't have gone home early", said she.
=>She said that if I hadn't come there the night before, they wouldn't have gone home early.
15. "You must wear the uniform", she said.
=> She said that I had to wear the uniform.
16. "If I were you, I wouldn't fly to Bangkok", she said to me.
=> She told me that if she were me, she wouldn't fly to Bangkok.

ss ơi, em thấy câu trên k cần phải có Have to bổi trong câu đó need đóng vai trò làm động từ khiếm thiếu.
E nghĩ khi chuyển sang ta chỉ thêm TO vào và k có HAVE hoặc là didn't have to study...
didn't need to= didn't have to V để nói về 1 hành động k cần thiết và đc nhận bít ngay lúc làm và needn't V

Theo như ss được học thì needn't --> didn't have to.
ss tra OALD được cái này:
need to do: used to show what you should or have to do.
have to do: used to show that you must do sth
--> dùng cả 2 cái đều được.

Mình nghĩ là ko viết như thế được, bởi vì câu trực tiếp là một câu cảm thán, khi chuyển sang gián tiếp dùng
"exclaim" nghĩa là kêu lên một cách bất ngờ mới diễn tả được đúng ý của người nói, còn từ "compliment" chỉ
có nghĩa là khen ngợi, ca tụng, ko biểu lộ được cảm xúc trong câu trực tiếp.

C. Câu 1 không ổn ở chỗ HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE WAS. Nếu dùng mệnh đề này câu trực tiếp phải là "HOW
BEAUTIFUL IS SHE?". Vậy câu 1 phải viết lại :

Thêm "with admiration" chỉ khi đầu câu cảm thán có những thán từ như "wow", "oh"... thui Bưởi ạ.

C. Câu 1 không ổn ở chỗ HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE WAS. Nếu dùng mệnh đề này câu trực tiếp phải là "HOW
BEAUTIFUL IS SHE?". Vậy câu 1 phải viết lại :
- Viet SAID/EXCLAIMED that SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL.

sắc thái cản trở, ngăn cản, cảnh báo ai làm gì của câu trực tiếp. Câu đó phải viết như sau: She warned me
not to cut flowers in the garden as my brother was very angry.
Còn câu cảm thán chuyển như SUPER UFO nói là chính xác, em có thể xem thêm trong A Practical English
Grammar nhé.

Trong quyển Exercises(3th Edition, page 141) cũng của Thomson & Martinet có câu:
28- "Why don't you put an advertisement in the local paper?" they suggested to me.
Key: They suggested me/my putting an advertisement in the local paper.
Giả sử , câu 28 trên người ta cho "........" they advised me thì ta phải thuật lại là They advised me...................
Như vậy, theo tôi, mấu chốt của vấn đề là tùy BT cho SUGGEST hay ADVISE.

Trở lại vấn đề câu 9

Ở đây người ta cho SAID, nên tùy quan điểm của mỗi người, có thể dùng SUGGEST hay ADVISE.Tuy nhiên, đối
