What do you think are the reasons for these results? That is, why do you
think employee’s perceive female managers the way they do as
presented in the results of the MHRM report?

According to the MHRM report, employee’s perceive female
managers the way they do which is positive but is still not good
enough is because people’s opinions are affected by some negative
factors like historical origin, social environment, tradition bias point
of view and personal situation.

In my opinion, compared with young employees, many older
employees do not accept female managers, perhaps related to the
old concept of male superiority, thinking that men should have more
rights and women should not have so much rights. The degree of
education also reflects the influence of this old concept on
employees. Older people, education as well as young people are the
high level of education, or some new young people, there's not a
good education as a guide, led to the incorrect ideas, they still
maintained roles is not easy for women to produce positive
thoughts, don't think the equality between men and women, don't
think a woman can do better than men.

On the point that employees will choose to leave their jobs due to
different gender preferences, because people are sensitive, when


you are dissatisfied with the environment you are working in or the
people around you, they will have negative feelings about their
work.

Because



of

the

prejudice

against

female

managers,

employees are reluctant to stay in the company. Conversely, if an
employee has a positive attitude about his or her environment, or a
boss (male or female), then he or she will want to stay.

Regarding to employee’s pressure, “Why do the women who have a
more positive view of women as managers often suffer from less
professional pressure?” I think that most women will be more
organized than men and will be more likely to arrange work. Female
managers will pay more attention to the coordination and balance of
interpersonal relationships. So, when employees have a positive
attitude toward female managers and are willing to follow her
orders, there will be less pressure.
