by the serious scientists or mainstream
science.
• Being used to focus on political or social
issues, to explore philosophical issues.
• Having futuristic elements.

In the 1970s: “Star

A whole range of blockbuster hits such
as “E.T”, “Terminator” series, “The
Matrix”, “Alien” and “Avatar”…
