Diseases common among younger people
Nowadays fewer children suffer from infectious diseases (mắc các bệnh truyền nhiễm), but the number of
children around the world with asthma (hen suyễn) has increased (tăng lên). Doctors believe that the breathing
difficulties (khó thở) of asthma sufferers are often caused by allergies (dị ứng) to smoke, food, or pollution.
There has also been a dramatic (đáng kể) increase in obesity (tình trạng béo phì) in young people in the last 20
years. Amongst other things, it can lead to heart attacks, diabetes, and depression. (dẫn đến đau tim, tiểu
đường và trầm cảm)

Ngày nay ít trẻ em mắc các bệnh truyền nhiễm, nhưng số trẻ em trên toàn thế giới mắc bệnh hen suyễn đã tăng
lên. Các bác sĩ tin rằng nguyên nhân gây khó thở của bệnh nhân hen suyễn thường do dị ứng với khói, thực
phẩm hoặc ô nhiễm. Cũng có sự gia tăng đáng kể tình trạng béo phì ở những người trẻ tuổi trong 20 năm qua.
Cùng những yếu tố khác, việc béo phì có thể dẫn đến đau tim, tiểu đường và trầm cảm.
