LETTER OF ADVICE
Some useful phrases that you can use in your letter of advice:
- GREETING: Dear …,
- OPENING:
+ I saw your letter in….
+ I read about your problem in… and I’m writing to offer some advice.
+ After reading your letter in…column, I decided to write to you to give you some advice
/ make some suggestions.
- MAIN BODY (2 – 3 paragraphs):
+ First of all, I would advise you to… - In this way…
+ If I were you, I would…
+ If I were in your position, I would…
+ The way I see it… For instance / example…
+ Another thing you could do is… - For example…
+ The best way to… is - …such as / like …
+ In my opinion you should…. – By doing this you would…
