I/O COMPONENTS (1)
The ControlLogix controller provides a scalable controller
solution that is capable of addressing a large amount of I/O
points.
The ControlLogix controller can be placed into any slot of a
ControlLogix I/O chassis and multiple controllers can be installed
in the same chassis.

I/O CHASSIS (1)
• The ControlLogix system is a modular system that requires a
1756 I/O chassis.
• Chassis are available in sizes of 4, 7, 10, 13, and 17 module
slots.
• The backplane provides a high-speed communication path
between modules.

2-4

• Multiple controller modules on the backplane can pass
messages between one another.
