1940
Mc started open with a
simple logo where there just
"McDonald's Famous
Barbecue".
This logo has created the first
founda�on for an empire of
McDonald’s.

1960
The Golden Arches of the
McDonald’s logo was
inspired by the first
franchised unit of
McDonald’s designed by
Stanley Clark Meston.
The "M" logo became the

hallmark of McDonald's
for decades.

1968
Ray Kroc got rid of the
double arches and joined
them to make them look
like the le�er ‘M’. The
name of the company
was put into the le�er of
the logo.
This version logo
remained the brand
iden�ty for thirty-five
years.

1992
This icon appeared on
McDonald's ads that
aired in 1992-1997 with
the slogan "What do you
want is what you get?"
And in 1995-1997 with
the slogan "Have Did you
have a break today? "
This logo is usually used
for signage.

2000

1993

This logo was introduced
when the standard color for
the restaurant's roo�op
layout was changed from
brown to red. This logo
appeared on McDonald's ads
that aired in the period
2000-2003 with the slogan
"We love to see you smile.

This new logo is designed
with two iden�cal layers
stacked on top of each other.
A dis�nc�ve yellow layer of
McDonald's and the
remaining black layer
underneath create a depth of
logo.

NOW
This logo was introduced when the
standard color for the restaurant's
roo�op layout was changed from
brown to red.
This logo appeared on McDonald's ads
that aired in the period 2000-2003
with the slogan "We love to see you
smile.
